We meet some of the characters and learn that they have drama behind the scenes. We are then introduced to an interesting mechanism that will drive the rest of the film. At that moment I thought something really special was about to happen. What I didn’t realize was that there were some problems that would derail the film. First of all, it would be very confusing. I don’t want to go into details because that would ruin the premise of the movie. But anyone who watches this movie will quickly know what I’m talking about in terms of confusion. I will say that while the middle of the movie is very confusing, it clears up and becomes a bit more coherent towards the end. However, you still have to be on your toes the whole time, that’s for sure. The other problems lie with the characters. There are a lot of them and they are very toxic people who are hard to care for and get along with. I really feel like the movie could have easily cut 2 or 3 characters and nothing would have been lost. And as for making them toxic, I understand that it leads to a juicier drama, but sacrificing likability is a big problem. All the negatives aside, there are some really good things here. If you can stick with the story and follow all the character/plot arcs, you’ll probably have a great time because they have some cool tricks up their sleeve towards the end in that regard. It was an ambitious undertaking to make such a complicated movie work and overall, they did a good job. 6/10.
